Of Huabei Oilfield, Hebei, founded in 1976, is a comprehensive petroleum machinery manufacturing enterprise integrating product R&D and manufacturing, equipment integration and supporting services, and engineering technical services. The company was founded in 1976 and was restructured in 2002 into an enterprise with equity participation from China National Petroleum Corporation. It is also a Class-A manufacturer of blowout preventers for drilling and downhole operations under PetroChina, a strategic partner of Sinopec Oil Services, and a comprehensive strategic partner of CNOOC Oil Services. Furthermore, it is the sole supplier of blowout preventer products to Saudi Aramco in China, and a supplier to international oil and gas companies as well as oilfield service firms including Shell, Schlumberger, Halliburton, KOC, and KDC.
The company boasts strong R&D capabilities and is a high-tech enterprise. It has several R&D platforms, including the Hebei Province–recognized Technology Center, the Hebei Province Well Control and Wellhead Equipment Technology Innovation Center, and the Marine Well Control Equipment Sub-center of the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Geophysical Exploration and Exploration & Development Equipment.
Rongsheng boasts a highly qualified R&D team comprising 308 engineering and technical personnel, including 83 senior engineers and professors-level senior engineers. The company has undertaken a total of eight major national science and technology projects, covering the “11th Five-Year Plan,” the “12th Five-Year Plan’s” “863” Program, the “13th Five-Year Plan’s” National Key R&D Program, and specialized high-pressure well-control equipment for China’s 10,000-meter-deep wells. Through its efforts, the company has overcome a series of “bottleneck” technologies, breaking free from reliance on foreign products and providing robust equipment support for building China into an energy powerhouse. To date, the company has been involved in or led the formulation and revision of 32 international, national, and industry standards, and holds 70 valid national patents, including 35 invention patents. Rongsheng is located in Renqiu City, Hebei Province—a water-rich, eco-friendly city situated on the shores of Baiyangdian Lake and at the headquarters base of the North China Oilfield. To the north, it borders Beijing and Tianjin, and is adjacent to Xiong'an, making it a strategic hub for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
