Rongsheng Machinery Manufacture Ltd. Of Huabei Oilfield, Hebei is a comprehensive petroleum machinery manufacturer integrating product R&D and manufacturing, equipment integration and complete-set supply, and engineering technical services. It is the well-control equipment manufacturing and support center designated by CNPC, and since the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period has been a principal undertaking enterprise for national research projects on offshore well-control equipment.

The company has complete production lines for BOPs and control systems, rubber products, mud pumps, wellhead equipment, Christmas trees, new precision pressure-control choke manifolds, directional and vertical drilling rigs, and snubbing units, enabling it to provide customers with one-stop solutions. The company is a high-tech enterprise and operates three major R&D platforms: the Offshore Well-Control Equipment Branch of the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Geophysical Prospecting and Exploration & Development Equipment, the Hebei Well-Control and Wellhead Equipment Technology Innovation Center, and the Hebei Provincial Certified Enterprise Technology Center.

Saudi Aramco’s sole BOP Supplier in China

The company’s products are used across all onshore and offshore oil and gas fields in China and have been exported to more than 50 oil-producing countries in the world’s major oil-producing regions. The company is a Class A supplier of CNPC, a strategic partner of Sinopec Oilfield Service, and a comprehensive strategic partner of COSL. It is also a supplier to international oil and gas companies and oilfield service companies such as Saudi Aramco, Shell, Schlumberger, and KOC. The company has a subsidiary in Dubai, UAE, and representative offices in Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Indonesia, and other countries. The Rongsheng trademark has been registered in 24 countries worldwide, enabling the company to establish an initial global market presence, with growing brand recognition.

2025

In 2025, the company obtained the qualification as a China-based well-control product supplier for Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil producer.
In 2025, the company was recognized as a member of the ninth batch of national-level manufacturing single-champion enterprises.

2024

In 2024, the company undertook two major national science and technology projects: “Design of Subsea Isolation Barrier Systems for Drilling on Floating Deepwater Dry Oil and Gas Platforms” and “Research and Development of 175 MPa Ultra-High-Pressure Blowout Preventers and Control Systems.”
In 2024, the new precision-controlled pressure throttling manifold and control system completed field application verification.
In 2024, 35-175 blowout preventer units was successfully delivered, filling a domestic gap.
In 2024, China successfully developed its offshore 48-140 blowout preventer (BOP) assembly.

2023

In 2023, the company undertook the special project “Technical Research on Ultra-High Temperature and Pressure Drilling Blowout Preventer Systems” under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s High-Tech Ship Project; at the same time, it also took on the Sinopec scientific research and technology development project “Research and Development and Manufacturing of 175 MPa Ultra-High-Pressure Blowout Preventer Units.”
In 2023, 2FZ48-70 subsea blowout preventer was put into underwater application on CNOOC’s NH2 semi-submersible platform, marking the beginning of the localization of key components for deepwater well-control equipment.

2021

In 2021, the company established “Blue Gulf International DMCC” and “Hebei Ruier Machinery Products Inspection and Testing Co., Ltd.”
In 2021, underwater emergency well-sealing device successfully completed deep-sea sea trials, filling a domestic technological gap and breaking the foreign monopoly.
In 2021, the super shear ram and the high-temperature rubber capable of withstanding 205℃ were introduced, significantly enhancing well control safety.

In 2020, the company received the Organizational Award of the “Hebei Provincial Government Quality Award.”

2019

In 2019, the company was recognized as a Single-Item Champion Enterprise in manufacturing by Hebei Province.

2018

In 2018, the “Marine Well Control Equipment Laboratory,” part of the National Engineering Laboratory for Marine Geophysical Exploration and Exploration Equipment, was established in Rongsheng.
In 2018, fully hydraulic inclined and vertical well drilling rig successfully passed the appraisal by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Automation Application Association.

2017

In 2017, the company’s trademark was recognized by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as a China Well-Known Trademark. The company is undertaking the national key R&D program project titled “Underwater Emergency Well-Sealing Device and Its Supporting Process Technologies.”

2016

In 2016, the company was recognized as the “Hebei Province Well Control and Wellhead Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center.”

2013

In 2013, the company undertook the national “863 Program” project titled “Engineering Development of Deepwater Blowout Preventer Units and Control Systems.”
In 2013, 3,000-meter deepwater blowout preventer (BOP) assembly and control system—a project under the National 863 Program—passed the acceptance inspection by the Ministry of Science and Technology, filling a domestic gap.

2012

In 2012, the 105 MPa HH and FF (PR2) class high-pressure corrosion-resistant wellhead equipment and gas production trees passed the factory acceptance review conducted by a panel of 31 experts from the China National Petroleum Corporation, Sinopec Group, and CNOOC Ltd.

2011

In 2011, the company established “Rongsheng North America, Inc.”
In the same year, the company undertook the sub-project “Development of Deepwater Drilling Blowout Preventer Systems and Control Systems” under a major national science and technology program.

2010

In 2010, the F28-140 high-sulfur-resistant blowout preventer assembly passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal by the China National Petroleum Corporation.

2008

In 2008, the company undertook the national “863 Program” project titled “Development of a 3,000-meter Deepwater Blowout Preventer System and Control System.”

2006

In 2006, the FHZ35-70 blowout preventer packing element passed the appraisal by the China National Petroleum Corporation.

2005

In 2005, the company was recognized as a high-tech enterprise.
In 2005, the F-series drilling pumps and the W-series workover pumps were successfully developed and entered mass production.

2004

In 2004, F35-105 blowout preventer unit won the Second Prize for Technological Innovation from the China National Petroleum Corporation.
In 2004, the F35-70 blowout preventer’s 2 7/8"-5" VBR was certified by the China National Petroleum Corporation.

2002

In 2002, the company was reorganized and established as Rongsheng Machinery Manufacture Ltd. of Huabei Oilfield, Hebei.

2000

In 2000, the 28-21 shear rams and the 75-3.5 diverter both passed the ministerial-level appraisal.

1998

In 1998, the company obtained ISO9001 quality management system certification, and its flagship products—including blowout preventers, pumping units, tubing, and joint—were granted the right to use the API mark.
In 1998, the China National Petroleum Corporation established the “CNPC Well Control Equipment Manufacturing and Supporting Center,” with the No. 2 Machinery Plant of the North China Petroleum Administration Bureau as its core plant.

1997

In 1997, the CYJP12-4.8-37-HB pumping unit passed the ministerial-level appraisal.

1996

In 1996, the F23-70 blowout preventer assembly received the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China National Petroleum Corporation.

In 1995, the company first 53-21 large-bore blowout preventer was successfully developed.

In 1988, the 23-35 blowout preventer assembly was successfully developed.

1987

In 1987, it was renamed the No. 2 Machinery Factory of the North China Petroleum Administration Bureau and gradually began shifting from a focus on repair to a focus on manufacturing.
