Rongsheng Company manufactures a light-duty hydraulic self-contained snubbing unit. Based on the auxiliary snubbing unit, it is equipped with an additional detachable mast-and-winch system, as well as tubing tongs and their fixing device. This snubbing unit can independently carry out snubbing operations without relying on a conventional workover rig. Compared with the auxiliary snubbing unit, it reduces equipment investment and lowers operating costs.
The self-contained snubbing unit requires only a small site area during operation, and is especially suitable for cluster wells and for wells located in swamps, urban areas, and other sites with limited space. When the mast-and-winch system is removed, this snubbing unit can be converted into an auxiliary snubbing unit and can then be used together with a conventional workover rig for snubbing operations.
