Job Description

Job Responsibilities
1.Responsible for technical management and control of hydraulic drilling rigs during inclined and vertical well drilling operations. Based on the drilling design plan and formation characteristics, formulate operating parameters for hydraulic drilling rigs and performance indicators for drilling fluid, output drilling operation instructions, and ensure that the operations comply with operating procedures and customer technical requirements.
2.Track the progress of drilling on-site for inclined and vertical wells, monitor the operating status of the core system of the hydraulic drilling rig in real time, record drilling parameters, and develop solutions to technical issues arising during operations using petroleum engineering theory.
3.Participate in the selection and verification of drilling tools for deviated and vertical wells and hydraulic rig components. Analyze the impact of tool performance on drilling speed, taking into account the formation hardness and drilling process requirements. Conduct on-site trial tests and assist in establishing procurement standards for the supply chain to avoid drilling delays caused by insufficient compatibility of tools/components.
4.Responsible for providing on-site technical support for hydraulic drilling rigs, collaborating with the equipment maintenance team to carry out routine maintenance, and proposing equipment adjustment plans based on changes in drilling conditions.
5.Establish technical archives for inclined and vertical well drilling, recording drilling parameters, formation data, tool usage, and problem handling records. Analyze the correlation between parameter fluctuations and drilling quality, and form a technical summary report to provide a basis for optimizing subsequent similar well operations.
6.Participate in the application testing of new drilling technology on hydraulic drilling rigs for inclined and vertical wells, provide suggestions from the perspective of on-site feasibility, assist the R&D team in implementing the technology, collect trial data and provide feedback on optimization suggestions, and support the upgrading of drilling technology.
7.Responsible for technical training of on-site drilling teams, resolving technical queries during team operations, organizing technical materials and archiving them, and completing other drilling technology-related tasks assigned by leaders.

Job Requirements
1.Educational Background and Major: Bachelor's degree or above; major in petroleum engineering, drilling engineering, oil and gas well engineering, or related fields. Candidates with research experience in inclined straight well drilling or hydraulic drilling rigs are preferred.
2.Work experience: No specific work experience required, but those with more than 1 year of relevant work experience are preferred. Candidates familiar with the drilling process of inclined and vertical wells and understanding the working principle of hydraulic drilling rigs are preferred. Those holding a drilling engineer qualification certificate and HSE certificate are preferred.
3.Knowledge and skills:
(1)Proficient in basic theories of petroleum engineering, with a deep understanding of wellbore trajectory control for deviated and straight wells, drilling fluid performance regulation, and the working mechanism of hydraulic systems in hydraulic drilling rigs. Master the calculation methods of drilling parameters and capable of independently solving technical problems such as well deviation exceeding tolerances, drill pipe sticking, and hydraulic system failures;
(2)Familiarize oneself with the performance parameters of drilling equipment and tools, and master the methods of data collection and quality inspection on the drilling site;
(3)Proficient in using drilling engineering software or data analysis tools, with the ability to optimize drilling parameters and simulate wellbore trajectories, and capable of independently preparing drilling operation instructions;
(4)Understand the standards of the petroleum drilling industry, API standards, and HSE management system, possess good technical documentation writing skills, and be able to produce standardized drilling technical reports and operation records.
4.Other requirements: Possess strong on-site problem-solving skills and be able to quickly respond to technical needs on offshore drilling platforms; work rigorously and meticulously, have a strong sense of responsibility, be adept at tracking operational results and continuously optimizing them; possess good team collaboration and communication skills, and be able to coordinate with drilling crews and equipment maintenance teams to advance work; be able to adapt to the working environment of offshore drilling sites (requiring shifts, and some areas have harsh climatic conditions), and have a certain degree of stress resistance.

Working Environment
The primary work location is on the drilling platform at the oil drilling site; the work schedule is primarily based on shifts, requiring adaptation to field accommodation conditions; there is a high frequency of business trips (long-term stay at the well site), with only occasional returns to the company headquarters for rest days or training.
