In 2023, the company undertook the special project “Technical Research on Ultra-High Temperature and Pressure Drilling Blowout Preventer Systems” under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s High-Tech Ship Project; At the same time, it also took on the Sinopec scientific research and technology development project “Research and Development and Manufacturing of 175 MPa Ultra-High-Pressure Blowout Preventer Units.”
In 2023, 2FZ48-70 subsea blowout preventer was deployed underwater on CNOOC’s NH2 semi-submersible platform, marking the beginning of the localization of key components for deepwater well-control equipment.
