Rongsheng Company's Technological Innovation Helps Set Another Record

(Staff correspondent: Li Liye) Recently, according to Bohai Drilling, at the BZ19-6-M4 well in the Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field, CNPC Bohai Drilling Company successfully completed drilling with its outstanding fine managed-pressure drilling technology, setting a new record for the deepest well in CNOOC's Bohai oilfield.
On December 20, Rongsheng Company received a letter of appreciation from the Pipe Tools and Well Control Technology Service Branch of Bohai Drilling, recognizing the company's rigorous attitude toward new products and new technologies, as well as the meticulous working style of its project team members, during the machining, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of the five sets of fine managed-pressure drilling choke manifolds completed through the cooperation between the two sides. The letter also expressed the hope that both parties would continue to take on more challenges together and achieve even greater success in future cooperation.
Managed-pressure drilling technology is currently recognized as one of the world's top ten drilling technologies and is also an effective means of efficiently addressing drilling operations within a narrow pressure window. To successfully complete this cooperative project, Rongsheng Company specially established a dedicated fine managed-pressure project team, actively coordinated key production positions, and carried out component machining and inspection in an orderly and rigorous manner. The company also proactively coordinated its high-voltage power supply schedule and worked day and night, often conducting repeated tests into the early hours of the morning, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and strong technical capability.
During the cooperation process, based on Bohai Drilling's technical and production requirements, Rongsheng Company successively carried out hydrostatic strength tests, sealing tests, manual pressure-regulation tests, automatic pressure-tracking tests, automatic flow-path switching tests, and pressure-control curve tests, all of which met the required technical standards. Compared with conventional hydraulic control systems, this system offers advantages such as a higher degree of intelligence, reliable performance, high sensitivity, compact size, and lower operation and maintenance costs. The manifold system has obtained CCS lifting point certification, and the control cabin has obtained DNV 2.7-1 certification, making it more suitable for high-end markets such as key onshore wells and offshore drilling operations. To date, the fine managed-pressure drilling choke manifolds jointly developed by the two sides have been successfully applied on multiple offshore and onshore drilling platforms in China, and their excellent performance has won unanimous recognition from end users.
For a long time, Rongsheng Company has consistently adhered to technological innovation.
