China’s First Offshore Ultra-High-Pressure BOP Successfully Developed
On July 24, the prototype of China’s first 48 cm, 140 MPa large-bore ultra-high-temperature, high-pressure BOP stack, independently developed by Rongsheng Company', was officially completed. This marks a breakthrough in the development of key equipment for China’s offshore oil and gas drilling sector and is of great significance for increasing the localization rate of major equipment and breaking the long-standing dependence on foreign equipment in deepwater resource exploration.

Rongsheng Company' Helps AoTan-1 Well Set a New Asian Record
According to a June 11 report by China Petroleum Daily, AoTan-1, which set a new Asian record for the deepest true vertical depth of a highly deviated well in a carbonate reservoir, was successfully drilled to completion. The well used Rongsheng Company'’s independently developed 13 5/8"-15000psi and 11"-20000psi BOP stacks. After more than eight months of field operation, the equipment withstood various complex formations and extreme conditions, effectively safeguarded drilling safety, and successfully supported Daqing Oilfield in setting the Asian record for a highly deviated well with a true vertical depth of 9,416.6 meters.

From March 25 to March 27, the 24th China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE), the annual world-class event for petroleum technology and equipment, was grandly held at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Recently, according to Bohai Drilling, at the BZ19-6-M4 well in the Bozhong 19-6 condensate gas field, CNPC Bohai Drilling Company successfully completed drilling with its outstanding fine managed-pressure drilling technology, setting a new record for the deepest well in CNOOC’s Bohai oilfield.

On December 7, the meeting of the Board of Directors and Technical Committee of the National Engineering Research Center for Marine Geophysical Prospecting and Exploration & Development Equipment, together with its joint establishment signing ceremony, was held in Qingdao. Rongsheng Company', as a governing unit participating in the joint establishment of the center, was invited to attend.
